「そもそも、駐輪ラックの役割とは何だろうか？」
『omit（オミット）』は、このひとつの根源的な問いから始まりました。

従来のサイクルラックは、どれも「自転車を頑なに抱え込み、倒さないようにしなければならない」という固定観念に縛られてきました。しかし、その常識は本当に必要でしょうか？

私たちの調査によると、駐輪ラックを利用する車両の実に「約93%」が、すでに自転車本体の自立スタンドを併用しています。一方で、スタンドを持たない残りの7%の車両が左右に傾き、隣の車体と干渉して空間の秩序を乱しているのが現実でした。

ならば、過剰なサポートを徹底的に「省く（omit）」こと。
あえて車両側の自立スタンドに委ねることで、ラック自体の存在を極限までロープロファイル（低重心）に抑える。一見、役割を放棄したかのように思えるこの思想は、都市空間において全く新しい価値を生み出しました。

駐輪場所へのアナウンスや美しい整列という「本質的なミッション」は完璧に果たしながら、不要な高さを削ぎ落とす。これにより、グラウンド（地面）との圧倒的な一体感が生まれ、従来のラックが持っていた空間への圧迫感や違和感を完全に排除しました。

すっきりとした幾何学的なラインは、駐輪器具の枠を超え、都市の美観を高める「アーバンファニチャー（都市の家具）」として生まれ変わりました。
omitは、空間を「魅せる」次世代の駐輪スタンダードを提案します。

【Design Philosophy】
"What is the true purpose of a bicycle rack?"
The genesis of "omit" began with this fundamental, disruptive question.

For decades, conventional cycle racks have been bound by a rigid dogma: they must forcefully hold the bicycle to keep it from falling. But is this status quo genuinely necessary?

According to our spatial research, approximately 93% of bicycles utilizing public racks are already supported by their own kickstands. Conversely, the remaining 7% without stands tend to lean awkwardly, interfering with neighboring bikes and disrupting spatial order.

Our answer was radical: "Omit the excess."
By consciously relying on the vehicle's built-in stability, we reduced the rack to its absolute structural essence. This philosophy—stripping away everything but the core utility—has engineered a profound shift in urban landscape design.

While effortlessly executing its primary missions—spatial zoning and pristine alignment—omit completely sheds unnecessary vertical mass. This low-profile geometry creates a seamless integration with the ground, dissolving the visual clutter and heavy containment associated with traditional infrastructure.

What remains is a clean, undulating geometric line. Omit transcends the utility of parking to exist as a piece of "Urban Furniture" that honors the open narrative of modern architecture.
